Time management is the act or process of planning and exercising conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness, efficiency or productivity. Time management may be aided by a range of skills, tools, and techniques used to managetime when accomplishing specific tasks, projects and goals complying with a due date.

How does a person organize his or her time effectively in order to be more successful and sufficient? First of all, one should decide long and short goals belonging to his/her life. What are our aims in a day, in a week, in a month, in a year and whole life? For example; for short-term goals,as a student getting higher marks in final exams might be your goal ; for one or first five years, graduating from university, working as an English teacher...etc.might be your long-term goals. Every graduate student starts to think on future career plans. When we reseach the lives of famous people, we know that they always make programming and have things under dicipline with the principles.
Secondly; in order to organize our time, making list of works daily, weekly, monthly during a year is one of useful ways. A timetable or a chart with calender are general ways of taking notes for planning the time. If there is no timetable in train or bus stations just think about, what would happen? Everything would be stirred up.

Thirdly; for an effective time management, decide what is actually essential and urgent? A good time organizer knows his/her priorities. Besides the main priorities like family, health , people usually demand giving enough time to their works, studies or activities.

Also, while people are organizing their time, they should choose the best bilogical time for studying . For instance, mostly in the early morning time ,our body and brain are more relaxed, ready for studying after a period of sleeping. Or for some,at night ....
Furthermore, during a group work or in business life giving responsibility or duty to others and sharing works, in other words, co-operation help very much in time management.
Beside all; there are some traps that interrupts and prevents you while studying or doing something else; They are divided into two groups as; Personal time traps and Enviromental time traps.
In the first group of time traps depends on personal characteristics. For instance, if one is disorder at school, work...etc., he or she should change this behaviour to get succes, like by leaving a messy room, ordering the worktable, or office.
Moreover,
-Be as brave as for saying “No!” people around you when it is not convenient time for a visiting or a short dilagoue, or, chatting at work. Surely, we have to meet with our family, relatives, friends, but at suitable time.
  • Delaying to do things in another time is another trap
  • It causes things worse, One job will turn into so many jobs.
  • Use the technological devices as much as possible carefully under controlled.
  • Leave unnecessary telephone calls, sending unnecessary messages or e-mail. Facebook might be one of the example that young people spend most of their time nowadays.
  • Stress and trying to do things very very urgently, being panic is another time trap, additionally.; try to decrease it.
These all might be some obstacles in a person’s daily life after a time planned, so, people should take into consideration them when they are planning their time.

Planning it and saving it are not difficult if people know the steps and some clues like organizing things, jobs and avoiding time traps. Everyone needs to know that “everybody has got 24 hours a day and 168 hours in a week, not only a president but also a housewife, too. By having a good planning, everything could be succeeded, reading, listening much more effectively. Due to the fact that the youth and the time are passing too fast to live on time when we listen to the experts. We must put the right thing on right place on right time...
